Balance

When a child is born the child learns to have balance naturally, starting with sucking milk from the mother.

Balance is the most essential factor for growth, from childhood till death. When a child is born the child learns to have balance naturally, starting with sucking milk from the mother. The child sucks milk – however they can and however much is needed. Slowly slowly with the mother’s milk itself, every day by day the child grows in their balance. Then after slowly 1, 2, 3 months and so on, other foods are needed for the child. They learn to chew and swallow. Child crawls, then stands, then walks. Slowly and naturally the child learns balance – of movement, body, and so on.

Anything will be harmful in excess. But at the moment everything is helpful, we have balance. Time plays an important role. We should respect the phase of time and do according to it. Many things we learn by facing different circumstances. Everything should be limited, and we should know our own limitations and boundaries too which isn’t possible until we open ourselves. If we resist, then we are not able to learn to have balance. Opening our mind and heart is essential.

If one is hungry, one should know their own limitation to bear food. If we are too much excited, afterwards our energy is drained. If we are too stressed also, afterwards we get lost or tired. So every emotion is also related with balance. Whether it is about physical sensation, mental sensation or anything, we should be aware and be mindful in each and every moment. Self-discipline, self-awareness, self-realization, self-contentment, self-satisfaction, are all important in our lives to be in good spirit. Balance is the thing which comes from inside not from outside. The positive environment is important, but still again and again one is responsible for their own awareness and state of mind body and spirit.

The Nature outside shows us what happens if there is disbalance. For example: if we cut too many trees the environment will be polluted, there will be unseen consequences and disturbances in the ecosystem. Rung by rung the ladder will collapse.

Our own nature shows us what happens if there is balance. A balanced mind always becomes peaceful and happy. It not only becomes peaceful and happy within oneself, but it helps others too. The positive energy vibrates in a positive way to all surroundings, and starts to steady the environment too.

A pure mind is always full of love – selfless love, for all others; full of compassion for the failings and sufferings of others; full of joy at their success and happiness; full of equanimity in the face of any situation. Heart is where the source of balance is, because heart always leads to love, clarity, wisdom and purity within the truth of Universe. One must be ready to face reality – escape is not the solution. We must have strength to accept each and every situation without expecting for things to happen in the particular way we want. We don’t find balance in controlling our circumstances, but in adapting our actions. Every moment is a new opportunity to steer towards balance.
